Kerry John Andrews is an artist, composer, freelance designer and lecturer in the history of art and design. He has exhibited continuously since 1983 in Britain, Europe and the USA, and his work is currently promoted by [DAM], Berlin and by Deluxe-arts, London.
The main concern of his work has been to explore the idea of translation. Working through various media, including installation, digital imaging, drawing, sound and music, he aims to explore ideas about time and the space of visual, aural and verbal languages and their relations to each other and to the physical world.
Kerry studied Fine Art at Ruskin School Oxford University and Goldsmiths College, London. He has also studied musical composition. His ‘acoustic’ works have been performed at music festivals in England and a recent piece, Machine Code, was premiered at Tate Liverpool and is to be published in Music for Modern British Art. He performs contemporary music throughout England.
